Story

Finishing Note: Seren became the youngest girl to complete this challenge enduring extreme winter conditions.

We are extremely proud parents however, it is the act of bravery, determination and kindness Seren showed in playing her part in a mountain rescue saving a lady's life.

On the way down just off the summit of Ben Nevis me and Seren saw a couple of walkers helping a young lady suffering from exhaustion down the mountain. For me being an ex fire-fighter I was in my element but for Seren after giving her the choice (bearing in mind she was cold and tired herself in what can only be described as awful conditions), she said "daddy we need to help". My first concern was my daughter but we could not leave this lady on this mountain in these conditions. we called moutain rescue and helped to get the lady down to a safe landing location for the rescue team to meet her.

Seren played a crucial part in this rescue by shining the torch (as it was night drew in with the slow process of supporting this lady down the mountain). If this was not enough Seren gave the lady her last lucozade to give the lady some energy.

After a good warm up and a trip to Mc Donald's in Fort William seeing Seren was looking drained I said to her we may have to forget completing the challenge now. She was not having any of this and wanted to carry on. All throughout the remainder of the challenge Seren showed great strength and determination to complete her goal.

As we say looking back the challenge itself was a great experience but seeing her in this moutain rescue was amazing and we could not be more proud of her. She was so happy as all she wants to be when she is older is a Doctor like her auntie saving people lives (and a rock star lol).

On a last and final note as a family we cannot say thank you enough in the kind donations you have all made to such a worthy cause ❤️.  These donations will literally change Childrens lives for the better in Birmingham Children's Hospital!!!

Thank you,

Seren Price and her family!!!

At 5 years old I want to be the youngest person ever to attempt an extreme winter challenge of completing the National 3 Peaks in 24 hrs. I will be supported by my daddy attempting to overcome all obstacles and taking on the extreme weather elements that this challenge has to throw at us.

We will be leaving our home in South Wales on Boxing Day (26th December 2022) undertaking the 1000 mile round-trip drive starting with travelling up to North Scotland.

Shortly after arriving on the 28th of December, we will attempt to climb the highest mountain in the UK, Ben Nevis (how far we get with this one will depend on the weather, but one thing is for sure we will have fun and take lots of pictures).

We will then spend the evening in a hotel before setting off early in the morning to the Lake District to attempt to summit the highest Mountain in England Scafell Pike. Once completed we will then drive to our homeland arriving in the early hours of the 29th of December to attempt to summit the highest mountain in North Wales, Snowdon (hopefully becoming the youngest girl ever to achieve an extreme challenge of this nature and completing this challenge in 24hrs).

We know it is an incredible ask to complete this difficult challenge but we are fully prepared and under no illusions on what we will be faced with (snowfall, high winds, poor visibility and temperatures below -18c). I have completed all the difficult mountains Wales have to offer in severe weather and have enjoyed every one of them!!! We understand that safety is everything and therefore, no risks to lives will be taken. That said, one thing we know is we will be leaving on Boxing Day and traveling up to North Scotland and that we will be attempting this challenge!!!!

WHY??? I want to do something incredibly special, raising much needed funds for this worthy cause because when I was a baby, I was provided special care and want other children to be given the same fortunate start in life!!!
